Educational Scholarship

The JB's Keys to DMD Scholarship Fund was created with the help of Larry O'Toole and Forward Advantage. This scholarship is to provide the support needed, for those living with Duchenne, to continue their education at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational technical school in the United States. The funds awarded can be used toward tuition and/or any expenses related to continuing education, including, but not limited to, transportation needs, aid to live independently, and any assistive equipment.

In addition to the six recipients from last year, one additional $2,500 scholarship will be awarded for the 2023-2024 academic year .

The application deadline for the 2023-2024 academic year is Monday, May 15th.

The award recipients will be chosen at random from all qualified applicants.

Award recipients will be notified by Thursday, June 1st. Checks for all recipients will be mailed at that time.

Awards can be renewed for up to four (4) years, provided the recipient is in good academic standing and remaining at the same institution, for a total of $10,000.

Previous recipients will receive an email in April from JB's Keys to DMD confirming their enrollment for the next year.
