SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAM

The objectives of this scholarship are to:

• Increase awareness of adaptive sports opportunities available for individuals with DMD

• Provide an opportunity for individuals with DMD to participate in adaptive sports in a safe and supportive environment

• Create opportunities for families of individuals with DMD to engage in the outdoors together

Summer Scholarship Sail Program includes:

• Two nights of lodging in Lincoln, NH, consisting of a Friday and Saturday night stay

• Two days of adaptive sports, including options like kayaking, biking, hiking, and more, with New England Disabled Sports on Saturday and Sunday

• Gift certificate for $250 for any additional expenses 

  
  Essential information for Summer 2026:

• If you were on the waitlist for sailing from previous summers, we will reach out to you before the application comes out to see if you are interested in this program

• The application will open on Monday, April 12th

• The application deadline will be Sunday, May 17th

• We will work with you after the application deadline to book as many families as we are able to

• If the applicant does have the opportunity to participate this summer, they will automatically be put at the top of the applicants for next summer

• ​Applicants are accepted based on how many times you have already done this program with JB's Keys and when your application was submitted
